Creating vs. Opening, or Open a Recent MailingWhen a Registered version of Mailer starts...
...you have a choice of what to do. You can create a new project, or open an existing one. Projects have a ".m5m" extension on them, which represents the settings for a mailing and tells Mailer where it can find your data. If you move your data and try to open an existing e-mail merge, Mailer will let you know that it can't find the data for that mailing anymore. You'll have to "change the data source" of your mailing after you open it when this happens, and find the file that contains data for your mailing. Note that the list of recently opened mailings is in the registry. If you want to delete this list, you'll need to edit the Windows Registry. Let's create a new merge for now and move on... |
